Deliang Chen is internationally known for his extensive climate research and for his commitment to bringing climate research to society. For example, he is the coordinating lead author of the forthcoming IPCC report. Deliang Chen's most important field of research is about the development of a new approach to describe atmospheric circulations. The United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has appointed Deliang Chen, professor of physical meteorology at the University of Gothenburg, as one of the coordinating lead authors of a report on climate change.
